Experts and Professionals Exchange Opinions on Disruptive Technology
The Disruptive Biomedical Technology Innovation Forum, part of the 2023 (15th) Suzhou Entrepreneurship Week for International Elites, opened in Talent Show on July 11. A number of experts and professionals from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), universities, listed companies and investment organizations shared their opinions on biotech innovation.
At the event, Zhao Guoping, a member of the CAS and a fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences and the American Academy of Microbiology, was appointed advisor for Talent Show, and several experts from research institutes, universities and financial institutions were appointed entrepreneurship mentors for it.
Zhao gave a speech about development of molecular microbiology. In his opinion, disruptive technology innovation and industrial upgrading have led to the improvement of research and engineering capabilities, while the integration and sharing of big data has brought about a paradigm for changes in research and provided the “key” for opening the door of the era of precision medicine.
At the roundtable, the experts from Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University and several biotech companies and investment organizations shared their views on development and commercialization of promising disruptive technologies in the biomedical sector.
The event was also paired with a project roadshow where nine biomedical projects were evaluated by the jurors.
