Additional notes about the weather, currency and credit cards, medical Insurance and etc are specified here for your attention.

•Weather 

The city of Suzhou is located in the center of the Yangtze Delta, and adjacent to Shanghai to the east. As it lies in the northern edge of the subtropical zone, it has four distinct seasons with a yearly average temperature of 15.7 ℃.  During the conference, the temperature in Suzhou ranges from to 13-21℃, so the participants preferably take overcoat and down jacket.

•Currency and Credit Cards 

1)National currency is RMB (¥), which is convertible at banks at exchange rate of approximately 7.06 RMB to 1 USD, varying in accordance with market rates. 

2)An amount of no more than USD 5,000 (or the equivalent in foreign currency) can be freely brought into or out of China. Extra sums must be declared to the customs upon arrival or departure. 

3)Internationally recognized credit cards are accepted in all major hotels and some restaurants, department stores and shops. Please check it before transaction. 

•Electricity and Water Supply

Electricity supply in China operates at 220 volts AC, 50Hz. Participants are reminded to bring your own adaptor for use throughout the meeting. 

Drinking tap water and un-boiled water is not recommended.

•Medical Insurance 

All participants are advised to get travel insurance before traveling to China.

•Local Time 

Standard time zone is UTC/GMT +8 hours. 

•Language

The official language of the workshop is English.
