As a service unit that provides TALEN / CHRISPR and establishes animal model by fertilized egg, our project team has accumulated unequalled experience in humanization of bovine serum albumin gene and large scale production of human serum albumin in cow’s milk.
Dr. Qin Yangjun has independently designed and tested a number of TALEN / CRISPR carriers and carried out intracellular activity assay. He has long-term technical reserves for humanization of bovine serum albumin gene and large scale production of human serum albumin in cow’s milk.
Dr. Du Yubin has been engaged in gene knockout and establishment of transgenic animal models. Breaking through the conventional thinking to design the fastest and the best solution, we can get the desired transgenic animals in short time.
Technology Roadmap
We design simple and feasible technology roadmap that differs from the traditional way of gene knockout. Compared with the somatic cell nuclear transfer technology, our method increase the rate of obtaining homozygote and transgene. Animal death rate decreases during pregnancy and bearing.
The transgenic pigs as blood body can be collected repeatedly. The current human plasma albumin separation production line can be used for separation and purification, without the need to establish a new production line, which lows the protein purification cost. Serum albumin humanized pig as an animal model, due to its serum albumin same as that of human blood, is the perfect tool for testing new drugs and is usually favored by pharmaceutical companies.
Cow herd is to be raised. Milk can be used for production of human serum albumin while bull serum can be used as human serum albumin extraction and cell culture. Conservatively estimated, a cow can produce 50 kg HAS, which values approximately $ 250,000. 100 cows may produce cumulatively value of hundreds of millions of dollars.
Our Progress:
1. Gene editor design, synthesis and transgenic carrier has been completed.
2. Preparation of transgenic mouse in progress, which can be used as the benchmark for project risk assessment.
3. Preparation of transgenic pigs and transgenic cattle under discussion.
